The Future of Borderless 🚀

Hey, it’s Lauren Razavi here, Executive Director of Plumia—the team and project behind the Borderless newsletter.

This time last year, we had 2,000 readers. By the end of 2024, more than 75,000 of you had invited us into your inboxes!

Each week, thousands of readers—nomads, remote workers, expats, third culture kids, dreamers, thinkers, and builders—compete in our maps game, answer our polls, and email us about the stories we curate.

As the newsletter grew, we wondered: How can we harness this energy? How can we create a space where readers can connect with us, but also with each other? And what would make that space not just fun, but valuable too?

That brings me to today’s update: Borderless is moving to Substack. Starting this Thursday, you’ll receive the newsletter from [email protected]

We see this as more than just a platform shift—it’s the beginning of an exciting new chapter. We want to turn this newsletter and community into a movement for global citizens.

We believe there is immense power and potential in representing the collective voice of our readers. After all, we’re all part of the same internet and the same world. By coming together, we have a chance to make them both work better.

In the weeks ahead, we’ll share more about our plans and how you can get involved. If you have questions or thoughts in the meantime, hit reply or leave a comment on this post via Substack.

Thanks for reading and supporting Borderless!
