Getting to and from the airport
By bus ($4 | 1h 30 mins to the city) You'll find the bus terminal at Phuket airport's arrival terminal. The main downside is the length of the trip. You can purchase your ticket in cash directly from the driver.
Taxi ($28 | 45 mins to the city) You'll find taxis waiting in front of the arrivals area 24/7.

Motorbike, bicycle & scooter rental
You'll find scooter rentals everywhere around the island just by walking down the street. Bikes Booking works with rental shops in Phuket if you'd like to book in advance. Remember that you need an International Driving Permit (IDP) to drive any motorbike in Thailand. They're pretty affordable and easy to obtain.
Traveling outside the city
Potong bus is an affordable option for traveling outside of Phuket town. It's quite slow though but it will take you to most major attractions like Patong and Surin. You can also hire a car with a local driver for the day.
