Transportation

Getting to and from the airport

  • Metro (AED 4,20 | 30min to the city) The metro lines are all connected to the airport and can take you anywhere you need in the city. Take the Red metro line heading to Dubai downtown (Burj Khalifa station) through Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 of the airport. 

  • Taxi (AED 63 | 15min to the city) Taxis are available outside of the terminal at any time of the day (they all accept cards).

You'll have to buy the NOL card for traveling in Dubai, cash payment is not accepted in metros and buses. There are 4 different types but the Silver Card and Red Ticket are the best for short-term visitors.

Traveling outside of the city

There are several buses that will take you to neighboring cities or emirates but you can also book a shuttle or taxi. Dubai's train system, Etihad Rail, is currently in development.
