Getting to and from the airport
By bus & Metro Most affordable but slightly inconvenient option. From the airport, follow the signs to the Metro station. Ticket machines there accept both cash & card. Validate your ticket at the gate and catch a train to the Central Railway Station. Transfer at the Serdika station to a bus - you should see a little bus icon at the station on the map. From here you can buy a bus ticket to Bansko. To shorten this trip, you can book a taxi from the airport to the Central Railway Station for less than $10.
Shuttle (40BGN | 2-3 hours to the city) This is the second cheapest option and is much more convenient than the metro.
Taxi (150BGN | 2 hours to the city) You'll see plenty of taxis right outside the airport but keep in mind most only accept cash.
There are no public buses within the city, only to neighboring areas. Visit the Bus station in town to get a ticket or check the timetable.
Sport Shop O’Neill Bansko — Sporting goods shop renting mountain, city, and electric bikes. Inter Bansko — Rent from an assortment of bikes or book a mountain biking excursion.
By Train Conveniently, the Railway Station and Bus station are located in the same area. Check the train timetable here!
