Travelers from countries that can enter Guatemala visa-free will get a 90-day visa on arrival that can be extended to additional 30 days in Guatemala City. This allows you to travel to all CA-4 countries: Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Nicaragua. Check if you need to obtain a visa before traveling here. Some travelers will have to apply for a tourist or business visa through an embassy and attend an in-person interview. This type of visa usually takes a while to process, so apply in advance. You'll need the standard documents:

  • Passport photos

  • Booking info & return ticket

  • Banks statements that prove you have sufficient funds for your trip

  • Travel insurance.
