🟢 Open to international travelers

As of September 2022, there are no Covid-19 related restrictions or requirements for travelers entering the Netherlands.

Where can I get a PCR or antigen test within 24 hours?

Carephar offers Antigen (results within 30mins) & PCR tests (results available on the same day).

Can I get vaccinated here as a foreigner?

Yes. Booster shots are available for non-residents in the vaccination locations near you (no appointment needed). Bring your identity document. While you can get vaccinated, you won’t get proof of full vaccination if you do not have a BSN (citizen service number). But, even if you stay in the Netherlands for less than 4 months, you can register in the Non-residents Records Database (RNI).

Depending on your passport, you might have to apply for the Schengen 90-day tourist visa - here's a list of countries that have to do that. When entering the country, you'll probably be asked to show:

  • A return ticket home or to your next travel destination

  • Travel insurance with a minimum coverage of €30,000 for medical emergencies. You can opt for European travel insurance or a global travel insurance option.

There is no digital nomad visa available, but those that want to work remotely and stay longer than 3 months choose for the Netherlands long-stay / MVV Visa.
