Transportation

Getting to and from the airport

  • By bus (€6.50 | 30 mins to the city)
 You can buy the Amsterdam Travel Ticket at the airport which allows you to travel on all public transport (including the Amsterdam Express bus 397 that takes you from Schipol to Amsterdam.)

  • By train (€2.89 | 15 mins to the city)
 
The train station is only a few minutes walk from Arrivals to Schiphol Plaza. Check the timetable when you arrive. You can use the Amsterdam Travel Ticket for this ride too! 


  • Shuttle (rates start from €9 | 30 min to the city)
 Airport Transfer Amsterdam can be booked in advance (or only 10mins before you need the ride!)


  • Taxi (expect to spend at least €40 | 15-20 min to the city)

By train

NS International allows you to check timetables and buy train tickets from Amsterdam to other European cities. If you want to visit neighboring Dutch cities, you can catch a quick train from the Amsterdam Centraal station.
